The two professors I talked with both said that my best pieces are the studio project and the photo of my uncle and his band. They said to work on more projects like those two and really trying to tell a story. One of them picked up on my spoof of the fashion/ makeup editorial right away and really liked it.

When I mentioned the highly science-based education I'm getting now, they recommended I check out the following artists:
Olafur Eliasson: http://www.olafureliasson.net/
Sarah Sze: http://www.sarahsze.com/
Harold Edgerton: http://edgerton-digital-collections.org/
Robert Cummings: mostly his acting profile comes up
Zeke Berman: http://www.zekeb.com/
Evidence by Mark Mandel and Larry Sultan
I really like Eliasson, Edgerton, and Berman. When I look at Eliasson's work, I immediately think I'm walking through a science museum.I like how he uses reflection and lighting in his installations. Edgerton's use of slow shutter speed (right?) to capture the progression of the dancer is really cool. I remember a photo I took of Shayda walking towards me that had a similar effect. Berman's black and white photographs from 1977-1979. The repeating motif of the cube traced in water and the angle he photographed at for that morphed, kind of curved perception of the ground are really interesting.
